I went to Dinorben Avenue in Fleet to talk to concerned local residents about new telegraph poles proposed to be put in by Toob.
I have had many residents – elsewhere too – write to me about the fact that Toob have announced that telegraph poles are about to be installed onto their street without consulting local residents about the location or size of the proposed installations.
In some cases, there are already cables that run in ducts under the street – installed by Virgin Media in this case – and residents have rightly queried as to why Toob hasn’t agreed a deal to use them. I agree with local people – there should be much more communication between, firstly Toob and Virgin Media, but also between Toob and local residents too.
Please be assured that Cllr Steve Forster and I will continue to listen to – and work hard for – local residents. We want better communication and more thought from Toob and all infrastructure providers.
