Ranil Jayawardena visited the Frog and Wicket in Eversley to find out more about the brewery sector and Fuller's plans for North East Hampshire.
Ranil said: ‘It was great to meet with Richard Fuller, of Fuller's Brewery, at the Frog and Wicket. It was a very fitting pub to visit as it turns out; it sits on the historical Three Castles Path - a route travelled in 1215 by King John as he journeyed to give his ‘seal’ to the Magna Carta at Runneymede, something I spoke about in my Maiden Speech!
'Richard and I discussed how pubs have evolved to become a community centre point for all ages. It was interesting to find out how they built upon local resources when refurbishing the pub, and the schemes they run to help employ young people in the surrounding areas.
‘I chatted to staff and customers too and I was pleased to say they were proved right when they said the food was delicious!’
