I was pleased to be invited to cut the ribbon to mark the opening of Pamber Heath’s newly extended War Memorial Hall.
This was the culmination of many years’ hard work from local volunteers in Pamber Heath, and over £1 million was raised to make sure the build happened through various grants including from County Councillor Rhydian Vaughan MBE, and a loan to the Parish Council too. I was glad to have been able to help in a small way by making the case to Ministers to speed up the process and avoid costly delays.
My thanks go to all who worked tirelessly to secure the future of this community hall for the next generation of local residents – and to all who put on a very enjoyable event and tour of the new facilities!
