Whitewater Health Partnership serves local people across Hook and Hartley Wintney as part of the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
On Friday, I met the Patient Participation Group at Hook Doctors Surgery. They asked me a range of questions about the future of the NHS in North East Hampshire - and, more generally, across Hampshire too. Doctors and nurses from the practice team were in attendance, together with interested patients. Questions ranged from primary care... to health funding to the 'seven day' NHS.
I am pleased to be able to say that while fair funding for our area has been an issue, the North Hampshire CCG is now receiving an uplift in the overall programme allocation of 7.18%, well above the national average of 3.74% - and an uplift in per capita growth of 6.12%, well above the national average of 2.97%. This will help create the additional capacity we need in our health service locally.
