Embrace the #PowerofReading this summer!
Created by the Reading Agency and brought to life by our incredible public libraries, the Summer Reading Challenge has been igniting the love for reading among children aged 4 to 11 during their summer hols.
We all know how important it is to keep young minds engaged and curious, especially during the six weeks off school in the summer. The Challenge tackles the dip in children’s reading engagement that can occur during these months, offering them the chance to explore a world of stories, knowledge, and imagination through the books of their choice.
In 2022, over 700,000 children and their families embraced the joy of reading through the Challenge and now, even as the summer holidays are coming to an end, it isn’t too late to visit your local library after school or at the weekend to get your children reading before 16th September!
Visit your local library today and let's make this summer a season of learning, fun, and most importantly, reading!
