Better ambulances for North East Hampshire
Last month it was announced that the South East Coast Ambulance Service will no longer be providing North East Hampshire with non-emergency transport after losing their contract.
Ranil said: "It is clear to me that the South East Coast Ambulance Service were providing a service which was clearly not up to the standard which people expect. I am, therefore, pleased to hear that the South Central Ambulance Service will be providing transport for all patients in North East Hampshire from April 2017 onwards."
"I had the pleasure of visiting South Central Ambulance Service’s HQ at Otterbourne, Winchester earlier this year, and I was very impressed with the work that they are doing and the high standard of care they provide for people. It is essential that the needs of the patients are the main priority and I am positive that the South Central Ambulance Service will achieve this with their new service."
