Though it was a wet day, it was a delight to be in Hook for one of the regular planting sessions held by Hook In Bloom.
Hook In Bloom is a local initiative, run by a group of volunteers who are making Hook a brighter and livelier place to live and work by planting flowers around the village. Despite the inclement weather, it was great to meet volunteers at Fairholme Parade, where they were planting flowers with the support of our local Tesco store.
It is a pleasure to see the local community working together to make the village a better place, so I would like to thank all of the volunteers who took part in this event and previous events as, without your help, Hook in Bloom would not be the success that it is.
