Ranil Jayawardena, M.P. for North East Hampshire, has recently nominated Little London Brewery to provide a guest beer for Strangers’ Bar in the Houses of Parliament. When on sale, it will be enjoyed by Parliamentarians as well as guests from across the country and overseas.
This is an initiative of The All Party Parliamentary Beer Group, which was formed to promote understanding of the UK beer and pub industry within Parliament. It is designed to give small, local breweries the opportunity to promote their products on a larger scale. Members of Parliament are able to nominate a local brewery within their constituency to provide the guest beer in Strangers’ Bar for a week.
Little London Brewery, which is owned by Andrew and Joan Watts, creates ales sourced from natural English ingredients, predominantly Norfolk Malted Barley and Worcestershire Hops. Mr. Jayawardena thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Little London Brewery late last year and was very pleased to include them in this initiative.
Ranil Jayawardena, M.P. commented:
“It is fantastic to see local businesses thriving in North East Hampshire. I was delighted to nominate Little London Brewery to provide a guest beer in the Houses of Parliament and I am sure it will be thoroughly enjoyed!”
