Ranil Jayawardena was officially sworn in as Member of Parliament for North East Hampshire.
This involved Ranil taking the Oath of Allegiance, which means he can now take his seat, speak in debates and vote.
Ranil commented: ‘It really brought home the seriousness of the task ahead. I cannot wait to get started. I am so grateful for the support of my constituents and I’m looking forward to representing local people over the next five years.’
