Before Parliament was prorogued on Monday, I had the opportunity to ask a question to the Minister for Education, Nick Gibb, about the specialist maths school programme.
It is fantastic news that schools in my constituency will be receiving another £2.9 million per year in funding, and that every secondary school will benefit from the £5,000 per pupil commitment announced by the government last week. It is great to hear that a specialist maths school will be built, just across the border in Surrey, that will benefit some of my constituents too - but I want to see even more done to make sure our children get the best possible start in life.
That's why I would like to see a new school built in North East Hampshire, and will continue to work hard to see that this happens. If you would like to see this happen too, then do visit my website for more information and to complete my questionaire here.
