Today Ranil Jayawardena took part in Armed Forces Day in Odiham. The event started off with a parade by RAF Odiham personnel on Odiham High Street and salute by the Station Commander and James Arbuthnot. This was followed by ‘Bands and Booze’ with live music and local food stalls with Hampshire ales and ciders.
Ranil said: ‘I was pleased I had the chance to show my support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community; from currently serving troops, Service families, veterans and cadets. The Armed Forces form a big part of our community in North East Hampshire, and I know we are grateful to them for their commitment to our Country to work to keep us safe. It was great to finish off the day sampling the delights of Hampshire food and drink!’.
