I spoke to the German broadcaster, ARD – from Hartley Wintney, given that it is the summer recess – about my views on the British tax system.
I believe that you should have the freedom to live your own life and spend your own money. You earned it.
That’s why I continue to champion a fairer tax system for families, so that they can choose for one spouse to stay at home to look after children or elderly parents if they wish, and so that people can pass on their estate to the next generation without worrying that the state takes a large chunk of it.

A lower, simpler, fairer tax system is the way to reward people for doing the right thing, to encourage businesses to invest and create jobs, and to get Britain growing.
