GETTING YOU WHERE YOU WANT TO GO
Transport is and always has been a priority for me, and I've been making our local train operators aware of views from across North East Hampshire, and we have been successful in securing changes.
In case you missed it, I'm happy to confirm that proposals to close any railway ticket offices in our area have now been withdrawn. These offices will remain open, meaning people who don’t buy their tickets online will still be able to buy tickets, how they want, when they want.
As a local resident, I tend to use trains to get to Basingstoke, Reading or London, and I have spoken to many fellow travellers who want me to:
Continue work to secure funding for a footbridge at Bramley station from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. You can support this by signing up at: ranil.uk/footbridge
Push for more convenient contactless Pay-As-You-Go – and Carnet – ticketing options.
Get the railway companies to focus on providing frequent and punctual trains.
Thank you for your invaluable input. Together, we are working towards better, more accessible transportation in North East Hampshire.
